Why Accept Christ?

People always lied that, the moment you accept Christ you loose all your friend because you've followed an unknown path. Everyone asks why follow Christ? What are you lacking? Why be different? You are so religious? Imagine Jesus understands that the times have changed? We'll all be gods someday, This are the kind of conversations that one is involved in.

That got me thinking why do we accept Christ? James Melton explains the two major reasons

God Commands You to Do So
God is an all-knowing God, and He knows what is best for us all. He has never made an irresponsible decision, nor has He ever given an unjust command. God is always right--ALWAYS! So He is also right in commanding all men to REPENT of their sins. In Luke 13:3, the Lord Jesus Christ said, "...except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." In Acts 17:30 we are told that God COMMANDS all men everywhere to REPENT. God's word states that we are all sinners by nature (Rom. 3:23; Psa. 51:5), and that we can only be cleansed from our sins by repenting of them (turning from them) and turning to Jesus Christ for Salvation:

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16.

"Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6.

God sent His only begotten Son to be the sacrifice for our sins. Jesus paid our sin debt for us. For us, He won the victory over SIN, DEATH, and HELL, and we can CLAIM that victory by RECEIVING Him as our Savior (John 1:12). God has no other Salvation plan. Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to Heaven; so God COMMANDS us to repent of our sins and receive Christ as Savior. In II Corinthians 6:2, the Bible says that, "....now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." You should receive the Lord Jesus Christ RIGHT NOW, because God COMMANDS you to do so.

You Can Have A Purpose in Life

"For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." I Corinthians 6:20.

Once a person is saved, he becomes a CHILD OF GOD. He BELONGS to God, and his purpose in life is to SERVE God--to work toward fulfilling God's will on this earth. Jesus said, in Matthew 12:30, "He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad." Right this moment, you are either on God's WINNING side, or you are on Satan's LOSING side. There is no middle ground. You are either fighting FOR the Lord, or you are fighting AGAINST the Lord. By humbling yourself and receiving Jesus Christ as your Savior, you can actually JOIN God's great army and start fighting the good fight. You can become a soldier of Jesus Christ (II Tim. 2:3). You can have the inner joy of knowing that you're saved and that you are ON THE WINNING SIDE! Why, there is no greater honor in this world! You know, many people delight in joining up with various clubs and groups, but YOU can become a member of the greatest group ever! You can get saved and be a member of the BODY OF CHRIST! You can experience the honor of being a Blood-bought saint of God, and you can look forward to meeting the One Who made it all possible! Friend, you should receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, because in doing so, you will receive a PURPOSE for living!

This are the two main reasons (my opinion) why we or rather I got saved don't forget you escape the damnation of Hell, it's not about being in lack, or about being weak . It's about accepting that there is a greater power and we need help. It's about surrendering to align ourselves to God's will. It's about getting tired to keep trying and allowing a Supernatural touch to take over.

I can tell you for a fact, there's nothing that God can't do, there is no sin that He can't forgive, did I tell you that God says in Numbers 23:19 God is not like people, who lie;He is not a human who changes his mind. Whatever he promises, he does;He speaks, and it is done.. God is ready to touch you one more time and change your test to your testimony. He can only do that if you acknowledge that He's Lord, you confess your sins and turn from all your wicked ways. Only then will you be able to enjoy His presence. You'll experience peace flowing to you like a river and God takes over your struggles, worries and fear.
Give God a chance He's waiting for you to open your heart,mind and soul.

 We are so much entangled with the things about life that we loose the moment. We are worried about things that we possibly have no control to change. Some of us however, fail because we condemn ourselves, we are beaten and crushed down by our mistakes. Remember that God says in Psalms 103:12 as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
He continues to say in Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,

 For guys who use public transport, this would not be so hard to relate to, probably we've even been the same people who do it. Am talking about, a group of people getting into a matatu, from the look of things they seem to be familiar with each other. This is evident through the little chit chats and giggles that they are casually sharing together. At that time, all you are wondering is; why can't this guys be silent, because it's just too much. They have jokes you really can't relate too, nothing seems to bother them, they are not embarrassed about anything that they are doing. They seem so comfortable to share irrespective of the surroundings. They manage to engage the tout in a conversations and at the end as you near your destination you wish you understood what they were up to, because everything seems so lovely. If you are lucky enough, in one way or another you may join in depending on the current topic of discussion. Sometimes it doesn't happen like so. It is not so different in our Christian lives, remember God is Emmanuel meaning God with us, He is with us and as Jaci Velasques sings in On my knees

When I'm on my knees
God is everywhere, just as the group continues with its conversation  for as long as they are together irrespective of the place or time, that's what God longs from us. To get on our knees and talk to Him. 
In 2017, I guess most people might have thought there's something wrong with me, my constant conversations with "self" along the road seemed unacceptable. Guess what, I DON'T CARE, having a relationship with God is the best thing that happened to me. For that reason am not ashamed to walk down the streets of Nairobi telling Him how wonderful He is. 

Come this 2018 My resolution still remains Psalms 34:1 I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. It doesn't matter where you are, nor what you are doing, God can and will still hear you.

I Promise

  God did you really say ….. This sounds like one of the phrases we use most. Don't feel offended I use it too, more times than I can remember. There are times that my faith is shaken to the core.
