Touching the hem of his garment

Dr X has always been highly recommended for such issues, probably if I meet him my suffering will be gone. I've been through great pain and suffering doc, please help me out. This were the words of a woman. The doctor on the other hand said there was nothing he could do. She walked out broken hearted. She really wasn't sure what else to do. Financially she was already bankrupt, moving from one doctor to another wasn't cheap. To make matters worse she had no one to turn to. Everyone didn't want to associate with her, she was unclean, not good enough to fit in. Her family had deserted her the moment she fell ill. Literally she was between a rock and a hard place and the only exit was to look up.

 She gathered her courage and against all odds she knew she had to do the impossible to receive her healing. She had lost everything until she had nothing else to lose. It was going to be risky but she had no other option. This was her last resort, it was a do or die scenario


Save“If I can just touch the hem of his garment, I will be healed.” This was said by a broken woman who was looking for healing. Bleeding for 12 years, she was considered an outcast. Due to her condition, she was not allowed into the temple, nor was she allowed to touch another person. She felt cut off from God and from man. The doctors offered her no hope, but Jesus had come to town.
She believed that if she could just touch the hem of his garment that she would be healed. She did touch Jesus that day, and he touched her as well. He touched her more deeply than she had ever imagined. The scripture records, “Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering” (Mark 5:29).
She reached out to Jesus in faith, and she was rewarded with a divine release of power from the son of God into her life. Her blood had been flowing out for 12 years. Blood is symbolic of life in the scripture. It was as if her life was flowing away, ebbing out of her. And then his life flowed in.
I really felt I needed to share this story. We are living in a world where people want to be right and you'll always be wrong. They will always be the first to see what's wrong with you and write you off without thinking twice. They will intimidate and embarrass you until you lose your self worth. 
From the above scripture we learn that something supernatural happens when you meet with Christ. If only you'll touch His hem. Nothing else will matter, you might be going through a lot, with no support system just surrounded with people who condemn  and judge you. Remember Jesus loves you so much. You only need one touch and your life is restored. He changes your pain to gain, your shame to fame and your test to testimony. 
This year I want to live under His glory. I want to touch His hem and experience life again. I want to be whole again. His opinion over my life will be my command. Following it to the latter. I'll not be afraid to worship Him. I'll  not be on the look out for who might be watching as I lift up my hands or cry like a baby in His presence, because am the only one who knows what it means to experience His touch and because of that I'll give myself freely to Him.

I Promise

  God did you really say ….. This sounds like one of the phrases we use most. Don't feel offended I use it too, more times than I can remember. There are times that my faith is shaken to the core.
