God's Plan
Like any other day, I had made plans and was quite sure that everything would actualize as I had intended it to. It was on a Sunday, with all this COVID stuff you barely recall which day it is unless you are working the next day. So, my plan was simple, prepare dinner, eat and sleep. Remember, am making this plans counting on my 19 month old baby to be in bed on time. I didn't think there was anything that will hinder me. Keeping in mind the weekend was quite busy.
As fate had it, we got to bed at around 9 PM. I was so tired and it felt so nice to stretch out comfortably in bed. I had one last glance at my son to confirm if he's asleep and there he was, all calm and well rested. Lights went off before LeeRoy had a chance to change his mind.
I can't really recall much that happened afterwards, until around Midnight, I heard a familiar voice calling out "mum, mummy, mum". This small voice was getting louder and louder every time. I sluggishly opened my eyes, and viola, Leeroy was smiling at me. He was wide awake and looked full of energy and strength as a lion eyeing for his prey.
I didn't know where to begin from, long story short he finally went back to bed at 4 AM. I don't have the energy to explain what Brinah and I went though until he finally slept but am sure most of you understand.
Let me ask, What happens when the most obvious plan changes? sometimes its not so obvious but what happens when your plans are completely shuttered and you are left wondering where you did go wrong?
Proverbs 19: 21
Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails.
A few months ago we were celebrating the beginning of a new decade, we all made resolutions and promised to challenge ourselves to be a better version of ourselves. Some of us purposed to have our Ruracio's and weddings. Most of us had jobs and careers that looked so promising yet 2 months down the line a high number of people have no where to go to. Families are sleeping hungry and tomorrow is quite untold.
Today I want us to change our focus, remember Peter when he was walking on water;🙋
Matthew 14:28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” 29 “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
Peter began to sink when he shifted his focus from Jesus to the wind( circumstances around him).
I know it's easy to be so conscious about the things that we have lost and worry about them so much that we forget who's on the boat with us. It's easy to be dismayed but one thing that remains is the words of David in Psalms 37:25

One thing that remains is that God will surely make a way
The LORD says, . . . Isaiah 55:11 “In the same way, my words leave my mouth, and they don’t come back without results. My words make the things happen that I want to happen. They succeed in doing what I send them to do.”
Sooner or later things will change for the better, just focus on God Remember the story of Job,
Job 1: 20 At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship 21 and said:
“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
and naked I will depart.[c]
The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away;
may the name of the Lord be praised.”
22 In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.
I pray that during this time we not sin with our thought, words, or actions. Everything happens for a reason, a season and nothing lasts forever. Keep on the Faith and remember that you are never alone. Plans may change, people may change, you may lose everything that you've ever worked for just remember our God does NOT change. He plans and makes a way for us.
Peace.
